SIZING MANNEQUINN & SIZING GUIDE

SHOP RE-LOVED TODAY>

In our Re-Loved online shop Scrubbers provides the sizing of each garment as stated by the manufacturer as well as measurements, made as accurate as possible, for different areas on the actual garment.

Sizing by different manufacturers varies massively.

Even same size but different models of suit or garment from the same manufacturer may be very different when you actually try them on. For instance a suit designed and cut for touring is very different to a race suit. Different designs and cuts of garment mould the wearer into different positions, both on their motorcycle and walking around.
Because of these variances please take a look at our mannequin and measure yourself as accurately as possible in the required areas. For accuracy we advise using a tailor’s style flexible tape measure, not a metal retractable type.

Good fitting is crucial for motorcycle garments. So accurate measurements are essential.

SIZING – A ROUGH GUIDE

MENS

One piece suit or jacket UK sizing is taken as a chest measurement in inches. For example a size UK40 is for a forty inch chest. If the garment is tagged only with an EU size, simply deduct 10 to give the UK size. For example an EU56 is actually a UK46. This sizing has its obvious limitations as it does not take into account different shoulder widths, stomach girths or arm and leg lengths. So, it is a very basic size guide.

Trousers are a little different. UK sizing will give the actual waist measurement in inches, and occasionally also the leg length. If the trousers just have an EU tag for waist measurement, deduct 16 to 18 from the EU size. For example an EU48 will be a 30 to 32 inch waist measurement.
Scrubbers provides actual measurements of each individual garment that we have for sale.

LADIES

Sizing tends to be similar to everyday ladies clothing in UK sizes, and ladies have a much better idea of their size than men. However, please note one piece suits are generally slightly smaller than two piece suits. If a one piece suit or jacket is only tagged with an EU size, for example a Ladies EU40 is approximately a size 8UK to a small 10UK, and a Ladies EU42 is approximately a size 10UK to a small 12UK and so on. This sizing has its limitations as it does not take into account differences such as shoulder or waist width, or leg and arm length. So, it is a very basic sizing guide.

Trouser sizing varies considerably between different manufacturers. Therefore ladies are advised to refer to the sizing guide.

Scrubbers provides actual measurements of each individual garment that we have for sale.

The above is meant as a guide. At different times many manufacturers have used their own sizing systems.
